“At Christmas every body invites their friends about them, and people think little of even the worst weather…” – Mr Elton.

Because: this book depicts a typical, and glorious white Christmas. It features family-gatherings, mulled wine, happiness, joy, friendliness, and gossip! A really interesting insight into the merriment of Christmastime in the early 1800’s. The festivities are only mentioned briefly, but what is described to us, in a lengthly, but fascinating context is how ‘every one comes together at Christmas’. And for me, that is the most important thing about this time of year, too.

Christmas-Based Entertainment: Reath

A reath is a gorgeous Christmas decoration and very easy and quick to make, too! All you need is some ivy, holly, ribbon and berries. I’ve been busy all morning collecting stuff, and putting it together, so I hope you like it! Here is how to make one:
